Chakra Jaggery Powder Brown is a traditional non-centrifugal cane sugar consumed in Asia, Africa, and some countries in Latin America. It is a concentrated product of date, cane juice, or palm sap (see palm sugar) without separation of the molasses and crystals, and can vary from golden brown to dark brown. Jaggery has some health benefits compared to other types of sugar: it is absorbed into the blood less quickly and therefore has a less drastic influence on blood sugar levels. Jaggery also contains useful nutrients such as minerals (magnesium and potassium) and vitamins.
